waterbed expenditure?
I think to get waveless waterbed. I want to know how much $ $ will be added to my electric bill by doing this. Please reply if you have a waterbed and remember your previous bills before you.
I had a semi waveless (2 second wave) waterbed for nearly 8 years. Unlike most of my friends I could not bear to have the heater off even in summer (I had a sore back) The only time I noticed a difference in my bills at all was when I initially filled (queen size) and this month my water bill was about 4 dollars more than usual. Fill the bed first with a mixture warm water if possible (if you can fill from a tap inside) and the energy the water heater is to use keep the water temperatures warm, even in cases of power outage of several hours, it takes a very long time for water to cool, even in the room temp, which is obviously cold as its ever going to get. Your biggest problem will charge if you ever have a leak serious enough that the bed collapses, and even with two large dogs and several cats I've never had that happen, in fact the beds without waves are so thick I never even had a small leak. Waterbed IMO have less maintenance wise for the expense involved the use of traditional beds, and you never have to worry about bed bugs:) Enjoy!
